National Billing and Collection Solution

Our Story

CBC is comprised of two partners, Marc A. Carter and Joey O. Nichols. This partnership consists of over 50 years of experience in the collections industry in Tennessee.

In January of 2003, three agencies with over 58 years of successful operation in the Tri-Cities market became available for purchase from the heirs of the founder, Mack Gibson. As such, CBC purchased Collections, Inc. in Kingsport, Credit Bureau/Collections in Johnson City, and Action Check Recovery in Kingsport from the Gibson family. December of 2003 culminated in the purchase of Tennessee Valley Collections, previously owned by Mountain States Health Alliance.

In August of 2005, the acquisition of Bristol Collection Agency completed the expansion/acquisition project. Maintaining the continuity and service level provided previously, the majority of the staff in place at time of sale remains in place today. This continuity allows our customers to receive the same high level of service and availability as prior to the sale. In December 2012 we moved into our new state-of-the-art operational facility located within sight of the Tri-Cities airport.

Our staff represents over 100 years of experience in the collection industry. The position of CBC is that we are large enough to handle large volumes of business on a monthly placement but yet small enough to provide personal service to our customers with a strong commitment to communication in order to reach a successful resolution on any problems that may arise concerning client or debtor.

The four regulations that most govern our industry, HIPAA, FDCPA, TCPA, and CFPB are closely adhered to by all staff members.

CBC’s employees benefit from a corporate culture attuned to HIPAA conformity. In other words, patient privacy is a primary concern of our staff and everyone is HIPAA-trained and up-to-date with the latest regulations.
